Nexus Genius stand,
Does exactly as described. The Nexus fits snugly in the case, held in place by a discreet velcro strap.
The unit has a magentic latch that ‘sleeps’ the Nexus 7 when closed, and is used to hold the lid in place when being used as a stand. A little wobbly when in the more vertical of the positions, but otherwise exactly what I needed.

Functionality:
This cover provides the protection needed for the N7, the stand functionality works alright while in typing position but the other more horizontal position isn’t that sturdy though, the tab looks wobbly.
The downsides:
When the cover is flipped to the back of the tablet while reading a book, the magnet on the lid will actually be sensed by the tablet sensor and locks the screen, this has happened numerous time, my work around was to put a layer of bubble wrap under the tablet before I inserted in the cover just to increase the distance and its working so far.
Also with this cover you might notice difficulty when swiping the screen from the upper edge downwards or when moving shortcut between screens (left to/from right) as the cover’s edge might be in the way sometimes.
Aesthetics:
The inside of the cover is soft enough but the outside leather doesn’t look or feels as nice.
Conclusion:
For the price we’re paying I guess it is very good value for money
